Legalized marijuana is green in a few different ways, including the amount of cash generated by the industry, but when it comes to energy use the impacts of growing pot indoors are not quite as environmentally friendly. Working with utility energy efficiency programs can sometimes be complicated for these businesses because the product they product remains illegal on a federal level. This panel will explore the energy use challenges of legalized marijuana along with some of the solutions that entrepreneurs in this space are creating.
