You Can Choose Your Family: Life’s Little Lessons for Selecting Co-Founders (and -Workers)
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Having a successful startup company means going to work with a (hopefully) tight-knit group of people that knows how to get things done quickly and efficiently. But there's a human element to the system, too, because as a founder you will spend a great deal of time learning about the personal strengths and weaknesses of those you've chosen to co-found with. These traits go well beyond the simple equation of "do-we-get-along + are-they-super-smart = win," and the needs themselves can even evolve with your company's progress.

And while nobody can give you answers, strictly speaking, there are tools that can help you choose ahead of time and avoid some pain and frustration - if in no other way than to help you predict problems down the road. In this talk, Keith will discuss his approach to understanding the impact of different personalities on your work environment, productivity, work style; and quite possibly your company's success. Much of this will be in the form of lessons learned about picking a "family" and avoiding unimportant conflict.

Come to this session to hear Keith talk about best practices and then look around the room to see if you can find a cofounder to show off.
