Carolyn is active in the Colorado Bar Association, previously serving as a member of the Advisory Board to the Intellectual Property Section and was a long-time member of the Planning Committee for the annual Rocky Mountain Intellectual Property & Technology Institute, a nationally-renowned seminar for intellectual property practitioners.
Prior to joining Smith Byers LLC, Carolyn was an associate for nearly a decade at Cooley LLP, an American Lawyer 100 firm, founded Juarez Law LLC, and was Of Counsel with Leventhal Law APC. She graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a Contributing Editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform and received the E. Blythe Stason Award. Ms. Juarez was awarded the Burton Award for Legal Achievement, representing the University of Michigan Law School. Ms. Juarez began her undergraduate education at the University of Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Colorado, where she received a B.S. in Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing, cum laude.
